Backstory (optional, can hold off and post in Day One.) Manny was born to a poor family and grew up on a small coffee farm and ranch in Central America. Youngest of 12, he spent most of his time working on the farm tending to the livestock and gathering coffee beans and wild fruit. He looked up to his brother Emilio, as he was the oldest son, and Emilio favored Manuel. Taught him to fish and hunt and how to run the farm. Emilio was always impressed with Manny's quick wit and how easily he learned. When Manuel was 12, Emilio was on his motorcycle when he collided with an oil truck. Emilio suffered from 3rd degree burns. His body covered in char and dying flesh, he often called out for Manny. He never let Manny leave his side at the hospital. Emilio died four days later. Manny continued to work on the farm his entire life until marrying his love, Cecilia. Him and Cecilia lived happily on the farm for several years. The locals knew Cecilia for her art, and baking, and knew Manny from his bountiful harvest. When Cecilia became pregnant with Manuel's son, they decided to name it Manuel-Emilio, or Millo to honor his brother. Unfortunately, Cecilia died giving birth to Millo. He became a shut in caring only for Millo on the farm and turned away family who tried to visit. In a drunken stupor one night passed out and the farm caught fire and spread to the coffee and the barn. After catching his clothes on fire and waking up, he quickly saved Millo. As he watched his whole life burn to the ground he decided to head north to the United States with Millo, so he could escape his past. Manny took to working as a day laborer everyday in Central City, taking up any odd job and came his way. Learning a little bit about everything along the way made him a popular repair man back home in the Hispanic area of Central City. The locals knew Manny was a grumpy, snappy, man but if you kept your dead down and caught him on his good day, he's damn near fix anything you might have. When Millo was 18 months, he caught a terrible cold and high fever. Manny tried everything he could he help Millo get better, but the fever had taken him. He had lost everyone and became suicidal. He climb to the top of his apartment complex and looked over Central City and knew God would not forgive him. He knew he had to live for those who had life cut short. This was his penance. He continued the next 20 years in Central City, alone, working odd jobs, doing repairs, and keeping as much as he could too himself. His weekend he would spent them in the woods, hunting or fishing. This was his solace and his connection to home, to his family, to Emilio.
